Have you ever looked down and thought how thankful you are to be have a walkway under your feet? No, right?

The team at Concrete Hero have worked with a lot of concrete sidewalks and walkways. They’re not only affordable, but they also make our walking environments very safe because of how durable they are!

Check out these concrete walks we have had the pleasure to restore just this week.

Restoring Walkways the Right Way in Mount Prospect

Our first project takes place in Mount Prospect. They had recently purchased a home, which is always wonderful news. Unfortunately, there was a very high step-up to the front stoop, which are always a cause of concern. Don’t forget how much of an eyesore that is as well!

The walkway had major trip hazards. Plus, the concrete was sloping, diverting any water towards the home. This can cause foundation issues in the future.

Replacing this walkway would have cost around $3000-4000. Lucky for them, we at The Concrete Hero have a quick, affordable, and effective solution.

Our crew was able to raise the slabs back to the original level, as well as the walk along the side of the home  This was an affordable and highly needed repair that brought about great results. You can see how we got rid of the trip hazards in the picture below.

Our client was thrilled to have a concrete repair in only a few hours for a fraction of the cost of getting a full replacement.

No More Trip Hazards for this Walk in Naperville

Front walks usually settle over time since they are built over the dig area of the home. This client also had sewer repair done below the walkway, which made the walk sink even more.

This was a big lift—about 5 inches! Our client was thrilled because her walk posed a major safety concern. Assuming there are no water issue near the walk, they will have the peace of mind that the walk will last for many years to come.

And if it does resettle again? We will come to lift it back at no charge!

The role that our concrete walks play in our communities is very important. They provide support, which we can literally feel. Energy-efficient, cost-effective, and durable—our lives are made even better with these around. And The Concrete Hero is here to make sure that your concrete walks are in tip-top shape!
